Sonora Review Interns

ENGL 393/493 Internships offer hands-on experience and training in magazine publishing. All students accepted into the course will be Editorial Assistants for Sonora Review, the University of Arizona's prize-winning, internationally recognized literary magazine. Internship responsibilities will consist primarily of reading and providing feedback on creative writing submissions. These submissions will be published in our annual print and online journal. Students may choose which genre(s) they want to read for (fiction, poetry, non-fiction, or multiple genres). Editorial Assistantships include a time commitment of approximately 9 hrs/week for 15 weeks, including bi-monthly genre meetings to select submissions for publication. Editorial Assistants will earn 3 academic credits for the semester. This internship can be taken up to two times for credit.
