London: Literature, Drama, Culture

This 5-week program runs from June to early July, and offers six ENGL credits in two classes taught by Steph Brown:

  • ENGL 310: Studies in Genre: Classical and Contemporary Drama in Performance
    We’ll see 10 or more plays, staged everywhere from The National to Shakespeare’s Globe to a tiny historical theatre above a pub, covering a range of classic and new works. 
     
  • ENGL360: 21st Century Literature of London
    A selection of recent works that help us explore specific sites, histories, and stories of the city 

Both of these courses will focus on giving you the opportunity to explore London through its architecture, museums, history, and culture, while taking advantage of our own location in present-day London to see what forms “newness” takes in music, theatre, literature, the visual arts, the sciences, politics, food, and popular culture. In this program, the city is the classroom!

Arizona in Orvieto

Arizona in Orvieto, Italy is one of the most popular study abroad programs, taught by UA faculty in the beautiful, quaint town of Orvieto, located just one hour from Rome.
