Stacey Cochran Receives Grant from UA Creative Inquires for Student Success

Stacey received a $24,990 grant from the UA Creative Inquiries for Student Success competition for a project titled, “Writing and Well-Being: Understanding the Effects of Socioemotional Learning on Undergraduate Students.” The grant provides funding to continue a Collaborative Learning Community (CLC) on writing and well-being into the next academic year and to collect data on students’ responses to assignments the instructors are developing in the CLC that use writing to strengthen student well-being. The research team includes Stacey (PI), Susan Miller-Cochran, staff members Sandra Holm and Monica Vega, and graduate students Sydney Sullivan and Sean Chadwick, along with several other team members from across campus.
