Prison Project Provides Hope to Inmates

Prison is a punishing routine. But for dozens of inmates housed at the Whetstone Unit inside Tucson’s state prison, the routine is being broken – if only for a couple of hours once a month. 

This endeavor is the vision of Marcia Klotz an English and Women’s studies professor. “Education offers a way to imagine a different kind of future,” Klotz said. “That’s what we signify when we come out here.”
