National Day on Writing

This annual event brings together the community, students, and instructors to celebrate the art of writing.

About the Event

Four students writing at the National Day on Writing 2018 event

Each October, the Foundations Writing Program participates in the national celebration of writing during the National Day on Writing. Hundreds of students participate in writing workshops, games, writing contests, and other activities each year. Participants also enjoy book exchanges and visiting with on-campus groups who support writing.

Thank you to all those who supported this event by serving on the National Day on Writing committee, sending students, conducting a workshop, and volunteering their time to help. Thank you to all who came and made this event a success! You can view our photo gallery for a glimpse at the 2018 National Day on Writing. Keep an eye out on our calendar for time and information on this year's celebration!
