Andy received his MA in English Studies from the University of Macau. Before joining UA, he taught EAP courses and TESOL courses at the University of Macau and Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College, respectively. Andy's research has centered on second language writing, language testing and assessment, English for research publication purposes, and their intersections. Andy is a co-editor of Applied Linguistics Forum, the TESOL applied linguistics interest section newsletter, and is now working on a contracted book project with the IGI Global Publisher. Founding co-chair of the Language Tester Mentoring Program, he also serves as the co-chair of Test-Taker Insights in Language Assessment SIG within the International Language Testing Association. Aside from his academic pursuits, Andy enjoys cooking, photography, and walking.
