Danny Clifford

My primary goal as a writing instructor with a background in Creative Writing, Africana Studies, and Rhetorical Composition is to create a safe learning environment where my students can improve and practice foundational writing skills which will directly impact their academic and future professional careers while, at the same time, encourage them to be critical thinkers about the histories and concerns of the Tucson community in which they live and learn. I encourage my students to bring their authentic voices and unique experiences to my classes and challenge them to research, engage, and write about the very different lives of others in order to provide fruitful learning experiences for a diverse student population relevant to building an appreciation for the written word from varied perspectives.
