Stephanie Pearmain received an MFA in Creative Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hollins University and a BA in Religious Studies and History from the University of Arizona. She has worked in the English Department at UA since 2001 where she currently teaches courses in Children's and Young Adult Literature and publishing and is the Coordinator of Undergraduate English Internships. She has been a Reader for the Andrea Brown Literary Agency as well as a book reviewer for Children's Literature Database (picture books through novels), and a Fiction Reader for YARN, an award-winning online young adult literary magazine. She oversees Pine Reads Review, an online children's and YA literature publication which is run by UA undergraduates. Her first children's book was published in 2012 by Scholastic and her writing has been published in anthologies and magazines, including the Nancy Drew Anthology. Her next children's books are forthcoming from Bloomsbury and Beaming Books.
