Abdul Hakim

I am a lecturer in the Writing Program, Department of English, University of Arizona. I also recently served as the coordinator and the faculty co-chair of the Assessment Committee in the Writing Program. I graduated with a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the English Department at the University of Memphis. Before starting my PhD studies, I was also a Fulbrighter at Indiana University Bloomington. I am originally from Bangladesh, where I taught English at a university in Bangladesh for around 7 years after graduating with a BA (Hons.) and an MA in English from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. My current areas of interest include L2 writing, corrective feedback, quantitative methods in applied linguistics, language testing and assessment, and language program administration. I am the winner of Lecturer Teaching Award 2023.
