Writing and Well-Being Conference

When

8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Jan. 9 to 12, 2020

Where

The inaugural Conference on Writing and Well-Being will be held January 9-12, 2020 at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. Hosted by the English Department's national award winning Writing Program and the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, the purpose for the conference is to create an inclusive and interdisciplinary space to foster engagement with and discussion of innovative research, policy, and practices in writing studies and education (K-12 and post-secondary), as well as civic and professional communities beyond the university. We welcome attendees from all walks of life -- academic, literary, civic, and professional -- who are interested in well-being, flourishing, finding meaning in life, building positive relationships with others, and the ways that writing and education contribute to these aspects of living optimally.

If you are interested in attending, presenting, or have questions, we encourage you to reach out to conference chair Stacey Cochran via cochranwrites@email.arizona.edu.
