Kate Shea has Master’s Degrees in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages (TESOL) and Library Information Science (LIS) from the University of Arizona where she is also currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching (SLAT). Her research interests are in supporting multilingual students and content instructors in EMI in TNHE programs. She has previously taught English as an additional language in several U.S. States, the Republic of Georgia and People’s Republic of China. In addition to EAL courses, Kate continues to teach UArizona students through colloquiums in the Honors College and International Education office that aim to introduce students to international education opportunities both locally and abroad.
