Sayak Valencia, “Capitalismo Gore: fronterización y régimen live”
Dr. Sayak Valencia is a Research Professor in Cultural Studies at the Colegio de la Frontera Norte in Tijuana, Mexico. She is a member of the National Research System, Level 1. She is also a queer activist and tran feminist in Mexico and Latin America, as well as a poet, essayist and performance artist. She has lectured and published on gore capitalism, necropolitics, transfeminism, Chicano feminism, postcolonial feminism, queer/Cuir art, and theory. She is the author of Capitalismo Gore (Paidos 2016 and Melusina, Barcelona 2010), translated as Gore Capitalism (2018, MIT Press). More information is available in the flyer.
