Welcome to our alumni page! We're hoping to build a site that will allow alums to keep up with department news, find out what's happened to old friends and classmates, and, of course, to let us know what you've been up to since graduation. It's easy to create a record -- just click here submission form (to create or update your record) and follow the instructions. Or, if you already have a record, use the tabs below to search for other registered alums.

John M. Adams
English, BA 1979 Coeur d'Alane, Idaho USA

Comments: I am responding to a letter from Larry Evers, head of the English Department, in which he requests comments about how my English Degree has contributed to my career. I am an attorney and my degree prepared me for, and still contributes to, a career that involves subatantial reading and writing. Although, legal writing for 20 + years has dampened much of the creative writing skills that I learned in college.

Comments: I graduated with my BA in English from U of A in 1999, and the education I received during my undergraduate years was invaluable. I decided to pursue my English career and earned my MA in English in 2002 out of state. I am now a Ph.D. candidate in English (and will graduate in 2008) and am working as an English composition and literature instructor in Georgia. My time at the U of A gave me an excellent education in literature and compostion, and now I am passing on what I learned to my own English students.
